DECOR

The indoor/outdoor setting evokes Old Hollywood with its mixture of tropical and traditional club decor. Lush plants compliment the poolside exterior and hues of brown and gold provide a warm inviting feeling to the lush private cabanas and outdoor seating space.

Ornate tiling and whimsical artwork adds a perfect touch to the exterior bar and lounge areas. Guests of the two-tiered indoor area enjoy a darker more traditional club feel with a built in stage and private banquets as well as a chiseled mahogany bar.

 

DINNER @ THE STERLING STEAKHOUSE

The cavernous space that formerly housed the Sunset Room has been split in half, transforming into this swanky Hollywood steakhouse and the thumping Cabana Club next door.

Huge wood beams traverse the ceiling, gorgeous antique-looking chandeliers hang from the rafters and a sunken wine room offers a private experience. Executive chef Andrew Pastore has worked at both White Lotus and the Sunset Room, but cut his chops at LA institutions like Granita and Michael's. His menu adds an Asian twist to the contemporary steakhouse fare, visible in the tuna and albacore checkerboard sashimi salad, beautifully plated with thin cucumber slices. (Traditionalists be soothed: There's a classic Caesar and a mighty chopped salad, too.) We recommend building a surf-and-turf meal with freshly shucked oysters, Maryland lump crab cakes and a meaty porterhouse.
